PCA Inspection
CE Certificate for Older Boats

Boat built before June 1998 or imported from outside the EU? Without CE Declaration of Conformity you cannot register it in REJA24. Post Construction Assessment by a Notified Body solves this. We coordinate with PRS and PZŻ — both EU Notified Bodies. €2 990 fixed.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I need PCA?
If your boat was built before June 1998, imported from outside EU, or lacks CE Declaration of Conformity, you cannot register it in REJA24 without PCA. Post Construction Assessment is the only legal path to obtain CE for an existing boat.
Who issues the CE certificate?
A Notified Body authorised by the European Union. We coordinate with PRS (Polski Rejestr Statków) and PZŻ — both EU Notified Bodies. We are the front office; they issue the certificate.
How long does PCA take?
6–10 weeks total: 2–3 weeks for documentation review, 1–2 weeks for on-site inspection, 2–4 weeks for tests and certificate issuance.
Where does the inspection happen?
Anywhere in the EU. Our inspectors travel to your boat. For boats outside EU, the boat must be brought to an EU port (we can advise on cheapest yacht delivery).
What if my boat fails PCA?
The inspector will list required modifications. We refund 60% of the fee if modifications are not feasible. If you make the modifications, re-inspection is +€990.
Can I bundle this with REJA24 registration?
Yes — recommended. Bundle price: €3 290 (PCA €2 990 + REJA24 STANDARD €299). For non-EU boats this is the only path to EU flag.
What documents do you need from me?
Builder's plate or hull serial number, technical specifications, engine specs, photos of hull/deck/engine, any existing certificates. We send a checklist after payment.
Refund policy?
Before inspector dispatch: full refund minus €290 admin fee. After inspector visit: non-refundable (Notified Body fees already paid). Failed PCA: 60% refund.
